Forest nurseries were established with native seeds to establish 25 acres of agroforestry plots worked by 50 agriculture producers. This project contributes to preserving local biodiversity and traditional agriculture systems.
Family gardens were established in the project growing oregano, cassava, sweet potato, onion, lemon grass, tomato, macal, mint, chiltepe chili, ginger, celery, habanero chili, and others, which are important for the local food diet.
